Caffè Vergnano says:
Caffè Vergnano, the oldest Italian coffee roasting company, born in Piedmont in 1882, led by the Vergnano family for over four generations. Always looking towards the future focusing on creativity, innovation and quality.
A company with a long and prestigious history. Caffè Vergnano’s history started in a small apothecary in Chieri, a small town nearby Torino. A small business set up by the company current owner’s grandfather: Domenico Vergnano.
The family passion and true vocation led to the development of the small shop. In a few years Domenico Vergnano mastered all the secrets of coffee-making and selling. The activity quickly expanded and the first three Italian warehouses were opened in Turin, Alba and Chieri. But the true lip forward happened in 1930 and was the result of a courageous choice: the purchase of a coffee-producing farm in Kenya.
