Danesi Gold Review Of Another Roman Delight To Wake Up To
Here is a Danesi Gold review of a popular Rome coffee roaster that has broad appeal and a compelling blend of beans that everyone should know about.

Introduction To Danesi Caffè
Danesi coffee roasting is a family tradition in Rome, Italy. For four generations they have been promoting the quality and culture of Italian Espresso around the world.
At the age of 25, Alfredo Danesi decided to open a coffee emporium with his friend Nencini in the center of Rome. Alfredo, a profound connoisseur and conservator of secret blends, begins spreading the culture of Italian espresso in the capital and throughout Italy.
Alfred’s son, Giovanni, promoted the growth of the company and developed a sales network of Danesi brand products in public establishments. In addition to home brewing, Danesi expanded into Ho.Re.Ca., which is made up of the words: Hotel, Restaurant, Cafè, is a commercial term that refers to the hotel industry sector. It is an acronym for hotellerie-restaurant-café (hotel, restaurant and bar), but the third word is sometimes identified with catering, or other similar terms.

In the 1960s, the roasting plant was moved to its current location in the Magliana area of Rome. and in 1973, the first foreign Danesi office opened in Atlanta, followed by offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
The Purpose Of Our Review
As Danesi coffee grows in popularity, it is important that a consistent voice is able to review the products and give an opinion on how a specific coffee stacks up against other Italian favorites, or even against other roasts that Danesi offers. We will share our options on its taste, aroma, quality, and value.
The Legacy Of Danesi Caffè
In addition to the global recognition and availability that Danesi enjoys today, there are other elements of their legacy. In particular, sustainability is one of Danesi’s proudest achievements.

In Defense Of Their Coffee
Danesi will continue to fight against the disappearance of coffees. For this reason we prefer:
- A short supply chain and sustainable agriculture from our producer’s cooperatives
- Respect for our growers
- Protect the environment by adopting meaningful and sustainable behaviors.
Danesi Oro Review: What Is The Blend?
Danesi Gold is blended to savor a rich and mellow coffee. With its sweet honey and caramel flavor, it combines green beans selected from Latin America, Africa and India. Slowly roasted, until it produces a graceful taste and lasting finish.

Tasting Experience: Aroma, Flavor, and Body
My first impression of Danesi Oro was in the grocery store. This is a very affordable coffee and it seems to be available all over Rome.
This is the first time I will be trying Danisi Gold. We coincidentally purchased a 1 Cup Moka pot, and after cleaning and priming the moka I decided to use it for our taste tests. There can be residual flavors left in well worn pots, so the thinking is that a new moka would give a more honest review.
When I tasted the coffee, there was a well balanced taste that is not typical of a more southern Italian city. I was expecting more bitterness and I got a blend that I would expect a broader range of customers would appreciate.

As it was brewed in a Moka, there wasn’t much of an opportunity for a crema and the body of the coffee tasted a little light. What I mean by that is there seemed to be a slightly watery aftertaste that is definitely in stark contrast to a bitter southern coffee, like Kimbo.
However, it doesn’t have the smooth body of illy or Lavazza.
Best Brewing Methods for Danesi Oro
I have enjoyed Danesi out at a restaurant in the past, so my recommendation is that for the ideal preparation method you should use a high-end espresso machine. I used a small moka and I was not very happy with the results.

Is Danesi Oro Worth It?
Unless you are using a high-end espresso machine, I don’t think I would recommend Danesi Oro coffee. The watery taste was a surprise and very off-putting. It is definitely an affordable roast, but I would recommend trying another from Danesi: The Danesi Primocaffè. I reviewed that recently and I believe it is more enjoyable.
